There is good news if you are a citizen of the United States, European Union, Swiss Confederation, Liechtenstein, Canada, or Japan. Citizens from these countries
DO NOT need visas for entering Ukraine for short-term visits of 90 days or less. Effective September 1, 2005, a temporary clause was made permanent law granting this “visa-free” travel. However, it is recommended that you always contact the Ukrainian Consulate in your area before traveling.

For citizens of other countries who wish to obtain a tourist visa to Ukraine, you will need to visit the Ukrainian Consulate in your country, and bring with you:

• Visa support—including a letter of invitation and/or hotel confirmation(s)
• Your valid passport
• Two current photographs
• Consular processing fee receipts
• A current Visa Application Form

Remember that the Consulate in your country may require additional documents—so the above list is only a suggestion. Contact your local Ukrainian Consulate country for current, detailed information.
